New Delhi: Dentsu India elevated Rohit Potphode to President, Sports & Entertainment, as the agency restructures its Sports & Entertainment practice by bringing together its capabilities across sports, gaming, entertainment, influencer marketing, live experiences and intellectual property (IP) development under a unified leadership structure.
The move is aimed at offering brands more integrated solutions as the lines between sports, entertainment, gaming, creators and live experiences continue to blur.
The announcement was made by Yosuke Murai, Chief Corporate Transformation Officer / Head of Sports and Entertainment, Dentsu India, on LinkedIn.
He wrote, “I’m pleased to share the next chapter in the evolution of dentsu India’s Sports & Entertainment practice. We are bringing together our capabilities across Sports, Gaming, Entertainment, Influencer Marketing, Live Experiences and Intellectual Property development under a more integrated leadership structure.”
Murai further added, “As part of this, Rohit Potphode has been elevated to President, Sports & Entertainment, leading our strategic vision and growth agenda.”
Potphode will work alongside Raj Thakkar, Paroma Dayal and Aayushi A., who will oversee key specialist areas within the practice.
The restructuring marks the next phase of dentsu India’s Sports & Entertainment business, which has been expanding its offerings across sponsorship consulting, content, fan engagement, gaming, influencer marketing, and experiential platforms.
Potphode joined dentsu India in October 2025 as Managing Partner for Sports, Gaming, Esports and Live Experiences following the launch of the company’s Sports & Entertainment Network in India.
With more than two decades of experience, he has worked across major sports, entertainment and media properties, including the Indian Premier League, Indian Super League, Coke Studio, Lakmé Fashion Week, International Premier Tennis League and the Global e-Cricket Premier League.
Before joining dentsu, Potphode held leadership roles at IMG, Viacom, Disney’s A&E Network, Ten Sports, Nimbus Sport, Star, JetSynthesys, and Times Network.
