With this expansion, the company enhances its Mammalian platform, which covers all stages of development and manufacturing. Current GMP capacities range from 50 L volumes to large-scale drug substance production at 2,000 L. The platform integrates process development, analytical control, and batch release capabilities, ensuring flexibility and continuity throughout the entire development and scale-up process through routine commercial manufacturing.

This investment reflects one of 3PBIOVIAN’s key strengths, which is guiding projects from the outset using an industrial mindset that ensures program success. This enables the design of robust, scalable processes that are aligned at early stages with future clinical and commercial manufacturing requirements, reducing scale-up risks and optimizing timelines and costs over the long term. This approach, combined with a solid track record of successfully executing mammalian projects for international clients across different development stages, positions 3PBIOVIAN as a trusted long-term partner for biotech and pharmaceutical companies seeking to advance their products from development through to commercial manufacturing with confidence.

Installation of an additional 2,000 L bioreactor is part of the company’s ongoing growth strategy, focused on strengthening its industrial capacity and supporting its clients throughout the entire product lifecycle with flexible, scalable solutions tailored to each project’s specific needs.

This investment will be further reinforced in the coming months with additional initiatives in the mammalian area as well as other strategic areas, aimed at responding to the growing demand for manufacturing solutions from 3PBIOVIAN’s partners.

3PBIOVIAN is a globally operating Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), delivering end-to-end services for biotech and pharma companies. Their service offerings include protein expression and production platforms based on microbial strains and mammalian cells, plasmid DNA, viral vectors for adenovirus and adeno-associated virus for gene therapy, and cell therapy products. Additionally, they provide fill and finish services for recombinant proteins and viral vectors. The company has manufacturing facilities in Pamplona-Noá in, Spain, and Turku, Finland, efficiently supporting the diverse needs of their clients, covering everything from preclinical and clinical supply to large-scale commercial manufacturing for drug substance and drug product.
