Utah, USA – Piper Aircraft has announced that Blitz Aviation, a flight training school based in Ogden, Utah, has joined the Piper Flight School Alliance and placed an initial order for three Pilot 100i aircraft, with deliveries expected in late 2026 and further fleet expansion planned in subsequent years.

  • Blitz Aviation was founded by brothers Mycah and Michael Pittman Jr. with a mission to deliver safety-driven, personalised flight training; the school cited membership in the Piper Flight School Alliance as a significant factor in its decision to transition to a Piper fleet.
  • As a Piper Flight School Alliance member, Blitz Aviation will receive dedicated customer support, streamlined parts access, and collaborative marketing opportunities designed to support long-term training operations.
  • The Pilot 100i is purpose-built for flight training, featuring the PA-28-181 airframe, Garmin G3X touchscreen avionics suite, and a 180 hp Lycoming IO-360-B4A engine, delivering a maximum cruise speed of 128 KTAS and a range of 522 nm with a 45-minute reserve.

Statements

  • “We are thrilled to partner with Piper on these new 2026 aircraft. From advanced avionics to a time-tested design, every element has been selected to ensure the highest standards of safety and reliability. This is more than just adding new aircraft — it’s about building confidence in every flight,” said Mycah Pittman, Co-Founder, Blitz Aviation.
  • “Our Flight School Alliance continues to grow and adapt. It’s especially rewarding to see leading training organizations like Blitz Aviation choose Piper. They are making a meaningful impact in the industry, and we are excited to support their Pilot 100i operations,” said Ron Gunnarson, Vice President of Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and Quality, Piper Aircraft.
