Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary, Chairman of Malaysia’s port management company, MMC Ports has paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

The meeting took place at 2:20pm local time on Monday at the
Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, the PMO Press Wing said.

During the meeting, discussions were held on increasing trade, commerce and investment between Bangladesh and Malaysia.

MMC proposed expanding investment by establishing manufacturing and production-oriented industries in Bangladesh.

Earlier, the prime minister arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday on a two-day official visit. Wrapping up his visit, he left here for Dalian city of China in the afternoon and reached there at 11:05pm local time in Dalian.
