Live Nation Malaysia says BTS KL tickets still fully available amid insider sales allegations

KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 — Concert promoter Live Nation Malaysia has said all ticket categories for BTS’ upcoming Kuala Lumpur concerts remain fully available, following allegations of insider access and unofficial ticket sales.

The statement came after Malaysian BTS fans, known as ARMY, took to social media platforms including X and Threads to demand answers over claims that tickets were being sold online before official sales had opened.

“Tickets will only be available from June 3 onwards for all pre-sales and general onsale.

“All ticket sales will be conducted strictly online via the official ticketing platform, golive-asia.com and trip.com for Trip.com presale,” Live Nation Malaysia wrote in a statement posted on Instagram.

“The fans are our priority,” it added, including the hashtag “#FansFirst”.

The promoter also urged fans to remain vigilant against misinformation, unauthorised platforms and unofficial postings, and to refer only to official channels for updates.

Alleged early ticket sales spark fan anger

In one screengrab, an influencer was allegedly seen offering a Soundcheck VIP Package ticket for RM3,288 — nearly triple its official price of RM1,288.

The claim sparked frustration among fans as the official membership pre-sale for the concert is only scheduled to begin on June 3, fuelling speculation that tickets had been quietly distributed before public access opened.

The backlash has also seen local ARMY accounts flooding social media with calls for transparency and an explanation from the organisers.

BTS fans from other countries — including Brazil, Mexico and Thailand — also joined calls on X for greater transparency, with some claiming that similar incidents had occurred in their countries.

“What’s happening in Malaysia also happened in Thailand, Mexico, the USA, and Brazil.

“They all went through similar situations at the hands of Live Nation or Ticketmaster.

“We need to unite against this ticket scalping mafia! We deserve RESPECT,” Brazilian fan page BTS Project Brasil wrote on X.

The BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ in Kuala Lumpur will take place on December 12 and 13 at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

The shows will mark BTS’ first concert in Malaysia since 2015, when the group performed here during its early Red Bullet tour years.

The upcoming two-day concerts will feature a 360-degree, in-the-round stage design, placing fans at the centre of the experience while expanding overall stadium capacity.
