Central Jakarta Police Chief Senior Commissioner Reynold E.P. Hutagalung said security measures would focus not only on safety but also on public services for spectators attending the match.
“We are deploying 1,372 personnel to secure the GBK match. We want spectators to enjoy the game safely and
comfortably,” Reynold said in Jakarta.
The joint security force includes police, military personnel, Jakarta administration officials, and other related agencies stationed at stadium entrances, seating areas, and surrounding Senayan.
The deployment is also intended to ensure smooth movement of spectators entering and leaving the stadium, he said.
Reynold instructed all personnel to prioritize a humane approach while carrying out their duties during the event.
“Officers must be friendly and provide good service to the public because this is an entertainment event that everyone should enjoy,” he said.
Authorities also urged supporters to maintain order and avoid bringing prohibited items—including firecrackers, flares, sharp weapons, and alcoholic beverages—into the stadium.
“We believe supporters will come with a spirit of sportsmanship. Let’s maintain a safe atmosphere so everyone can enjoy the match,” Reynold said.
Police will implement traffic diversions around the Senayan area if needed to manage potential congestion during the event.
Residents without urgent business nearby were advised to use alternative routes as authorities prepare for increased traffic near the stadium.
Reynold said enforcement measures would remain in place for violations that could disrupt security, although a persuasive approach would remain the priority.
“The security operation emphasizes a humane approach while remaining firm against violations. Our goal is to create a safe, orderly, and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone,” he said.
The Indonesia All Stars–Aston Villa friendly is expected to draw large crowds, prompting authorities to coordinate security and traffic management efforts around the venue.
