World Cup fever hits Dubai

Though the World Cup action unfolds thousands of kilometres away, Dubai will be bringing every tackle, goal and winner closer to home.

Here’s where to watch the World Cup in Dubai

FAN ZONES

Bla Bla by McGettigan’s

The official FIFA fan zone pick for Dubai and the home of the England Supporters Club this tournament. McGettigan’s is bringing the full World Cup experience to JBR in Dubai – big screens, live entertainment, and themed food and drink from breakfast kick-offs through to late-night finales. Tickets start from Dhs60 and are fully redeemable on food and drinks, making this one of the better-value ways to spend a match night in the city.

Where: Jumeirah Beach Residence

Fans can catch all the live football action across two giant screens and LED displays at this buzzing venue while digging into crowd-pleasers like calamari, buffalo-style chicken wings, nachos, and sharing platters. Bigger bites on the menu include fish and chips, pizzas, and beef burgers to keep the energy high all match long. There’s also a lucky draw where you and a plus-one could win a trip to New York for the finals by spending Dhs200 per visit and collecting stamps. Keep an eye out for a special edition newspaper too, packed with scratch-and-win surprises.

Where: Footy Central, Emirates Golf Club
Tickets: Free entry; packages from Dhs1,200 for six (includes 12 beverage vouchers and one snack platter)

The tented, air-conditioned space is set against the rolling greens of Emirates Hills, complete with skyline views, food trucks and live music. And, of course, you can catch every single second of the action on giant screens across the venue. On Sunday, you can enjoy the match with a side of roast. The best news? It’s dog-friendly, too.
