iCaur Malaysia upgrades EV battery warranty to 10 years for 2026 units

iCaur Malaysia has announced enhanced warranty coverage for all 2026-registered vehicles, extending warranty protection for the power battery, drive unit and high-voltage components to 10 years or 200,000km.

The move comes as the EV brand celebrates surpassing 3,000 registered vehicles in Malaysia less than a year after its local debut.

According to iCaur Malaysia, the enhanced coverage is applicable to all 2026-registered units while retaining all existing comprehensive warranty protections. In addition to the upgraded EV component coverage, owners will continue to receive a seven-year vehicle warranty.

iCaur extends warranty coverage for key EV components

The enhanced warranty covers three of the most critical components in an electric vehicle: the power battery, drive unit and high-voltage systems.

According to the company, the move is intended to provide greater peace of mind for owners by addressing concerns surrounding battery durability, drive system reliability and the long-term cost of maintaining key EV components.

The announcement follows a strong start for the brand in Malaysia. iCaur says it has surpassed 3,000 registered vehicles nationwide and that its V23 was Malaysia’s most popular non-national EV in May 2026.

Commenting on the milestone, iCaur Malaysia Senior Director Francis Chin said Malaysian consumers have responded positively to the brand’s unique design language and EV offering.

“Malaysia’s overwhelming response to iCaur has been clear: drivers are looking for EVs with character, capability, and confidence built in.”

“They have embraced our unique design, our technology, and our vision for electric mobility. In return, we are investing deeper into the ownership journey through stronger warranty protection, a growing nationwide network, and trusted dealership partners who will support our customers for the long term,” he said.

During the launch of the V23 in November last year, iCaur had also offered 10-year/200,000km Battery Warranty Extension which was limited to the first 1,000 customers.

iCaur expands showroom and service network in Malaysia

Alongside the warranty enhancement, iCaur has announced the expansion of their retail and service centre network nationwide.

On 15th May 2026, they opened its first boutique showroom at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, operated by Rover Drive Sdn Bhd. This is followed by the launch of its 15th full-fledged showroom in Seremban, operated by NexV Synergy Sdn Bhd on 20th May 2026.

iCaur currently operates 21 sales points across Malaysia and it aims to grow this figure to 30 by the end of 2026. The company says it is also continuing to roll out high-capacity service centres to support owners beyond the point of purchase.

The brand attributes its growth to strong demand for its boxy retro-inspired EV models, including the iCaur 03 and V23, which combine rugged styling with modern electric technology.
