Amran Mohd Tomin Appointed Group Chief People Officer at Malaysia Aviation Group

Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, July 2026 — Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has appointed Amran Mohd Tomin as Group Chief People Officer, marking a significant leadership milestone as the Group continues to strengthen its people and culture agenda to support long-term business transformation.

Alongside his appointment, Amran has also been named Chair of the Board of Directors of MAB Academy Flight Crew Training Centre, reinforcing Malaysia Aviation Group’s commitment to leadership development and capability building across the aviation ecosystem.

As Group Chief People Officer, Amran will lead enterprise-wide people and culture transformation initiatives focused on enhancing employee engagement, strengthening talent retention, developing leadership capability, and aligning workforce strategies with the Group’s long-term business objectives. He will also champion learning and development initiatives designed to build a future-ready workforce capable of supporting the Group’s continued growth.

Amran brings nearly three decades of human capital leadership experience, with extensive expertise in organisational transformation, talent management, leadership development, succession planning, workforce capability building, organisational culture, and strategic human resource management.

Prior to joining Malaysia Aviation Group, Amran spent more than nine years as Vice President – Human Capital at Proton, where he played a pivotal role in supporting the company’s transformation journey. Widely recognised for driving organisational turnaround through talent transformation, cultural renewal, and workforce capability development, he focused on resetting organisational foundations, changing perceptions, instilling the right mindset, strengthening work culture, and building high-performing teams. During his tenure, he also served on the Boards of Proton Global Services Sdn Bhd and Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd, contributing to strategic initiatives supporting Proton’s global operations and new energy mobility ambitions.

Before Proton, Amran served as General Manager – Human Capital at Alam Flora Sdn Bhd, where he led strategic human capital initiatives designed to enhance organisational performance, strengthen workforce capability, and build sustainable people practices aligned with the company’s long-term business objectives.

Earlier, he was Vice President – Group Human Resource at Pos Malaysia Berhad, where he formulated enterprise talent management strategies and led the development and implementation of human capital initiatives that supported the organisation’s strategic transformation and business priorities.

Earlier in his career, Amran held senior human capital and organisational development leadership positions with Pharmaniaga Berhad, Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC), Alam Flora Sdn Bhd, Securicor (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, and Penang Seagate (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, building extensive experience across talent management, organisational development, succession planning, leadership development, workforce planning, employee relations, learning and development, and culture transformation across the manufacturing, healthcare, technology, municipal services, and security sectors.

His appointment comes at a pivotal stage in Malaysia Aviation Group’s transformation journey as the organisation continues investing in leadership capability, employee experience, and organisational excellence to strengthen its position as one of Asia’s leading aviation groups.
