Alibaba.Com introduces powerful Accio Work agentic AI for SMEs in Malaysia

B2B commerce platform Alibaba.com has just announced that their Accio Work agentic AI is now available in Malaysia. In addition, the platform also launched their CoCreate Pitch 2026 competition powered by Accio Work with a total price pool of a cool RM500,000.

What is Accio Work?

Rather than merely answering queries, Accio Work agentic AI is designed for SMEs and entrepreneurs looking to address the fundamental challenges of the global marketplace – the steep learning curve, the shortage of specialisation (and costly) talent and heavy operational workloads.

For the uninitiated, Alibaba.Com’s Accio Work has been designed to execute a diverse array of tasks that would typically require expert skillsets from ideation to management and execution including specialised roles like logistics, spanning market research, product planning, sourcing, product listing, marketing and store management, minimising the need to expand headcount and payroll.

This is timely, seeing the challenging economic headwinds in 2026 as well as the fact that SMEs make up 96.1% of business in Malaysia.

When deployed, Accio Work acts as a strategic advisor, with the ability to navigate complete trade requirements, offering expert guidance on market entry, category planning and more, effectively bridging the talent gap while offering scalable support without the need for additional specialised personnel especially to navigate challenging global markets.

With Accio Work, SMEs and entrepreneurs can empower teams to redirect their focus from day-to-day minutiae and retask to more critical tasks like high-level strategic planning, supplier negotiation and more.

“Accio Work is designed to give SMEs a truly plug-and-play AI team, one that is simpler to adopt, more professional in execution, and more autonomous in operation” James Zhang, Head of Global Seller Product & Services and APAC Buyer Growth at Alibaba.com mentioned, “By helping businesses launch faster, make smarter decisions, and run around the clock, we believe it can redefine how small teams compete and grow globally.”

The CoCreate Pitch 2027 competition will take place across three categories – General SMEs, 0 to 1 start-ups and students with registration open from now till 25 August 2026 with 10 shortlisted candidates announced on 10 September 2026 and the grand finals taking place in October.
