An event was held on June 19 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Japan Forward. Before approximately 200 attendees, Hideaki Ota, representative director of Japan Forward Association, Inc. expressed his gratitude for their support and outlined his commitment to the future.
Ota noted that “Japan has often been misunderstood, viewed with prejudice, and undervalued in the international community because of its weak ability to communicate information abroad.” He added, “I came to realize that simply lamenting the situation would accomplish nothing, and that is what led me to decide to create this media outlet.”

Sharing Japan With the World
Amid growing global uncertainty, Ota said that “what Japan and the Japanese people can do is contribute, even in a small way, first and foremost to stability and prosperity in Asia.” He added that JF aims to share the true face of Japan with the world.

The event also received a congratulatory message from Liberal Democratic Party President Sanae Takaichi. Video messages were sent by Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi, Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama, and Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike.
