Desiree Golling was described as “the most loved girl and lit up every room”
Tributes have been paid to a “beautiful” woman who “lit up every room” after she died suddenly aged 34 while living in Dubai. Desiree Golling, originally from Liverpool, is understood to have died while living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Heartfelt messages flooded social media on Tuesday, May 13, as friends and family shared their shock and heartbreak at the news.
Among those paying tribute was Desiree’s mum, Paula Golling, from Halewood, who wrote on Facebook: “Doing life without you babe doesn’t seem real. I am going to miss our voice notes where you say ‘hi mum, just checking in’.
“You was the most inspirational person, everyone loved you babe, how my heart aches right now. I will see your beautiful face soon, goodnight my sweet Desi.”
Desiree is believed to have been living and working in the UAE for several years, having built a career in real estate and marketing. According to her LinkedIn profile, her most recent role was as a business consultant at Property Finder in Dubai.
Her cousin, Amber Harrison, who stars in ITV sitcom G’Wed, also shared an emotional tribute on Instagram.
She wrote: “Our beautiful big cousin Desiree. Loved by so many, you will be missed.
“Our family will never be the same without you. Our queen of Dubai. I hope you are in a much better place you beautiful soul.”
Since news of Desiree’s death broke, dozens of people who knew her, as well as strangers moved by the tributes, have shared messages online.
Nicky Kayode wrote: “Heartbreaking. Gone too soon, a heart of gold.”
Julie Cosgrove said: “Such a lovely person inside and out. Thinking of all the family. Heartbroken for you all.”
Georgia Williams added: “RIP beautiful Des. Thinking of all the family at this heartbreaking time. Sending so much love and strength.”
Paul Burke said: “Absolutely tragic this, such a lovely girl from a lovely family – far too young to leave this world. So sad. Shine on in heaven like you did on earth Des.”
Sarah Mairs wrote: “Rest in Paradise Des, still such a shock.”
Amy Rawlings said: “This is just absolutely heartbreaking. Such a beautiful girl, thinking of her family at this devastating time. R.I.P Desiree.”
Clare Clare added: “Rip Des, I went to high school with her. She was a lovely girl, always had time for anyone.”

Desiree’s mum is believed to be travelling to Dubai today, May 13.
