Damascus, June 1 (SANA) Director General of the Syrian Investment Authority, Talal al-Hilali, met Monday with the UAE Ambassador to Syria, Hamad Rashid bin Alwan al-Habsi, to review the outcomes of the first Syria-UAE Investment Forum and follow up on the projects and investment opportunities arising from it.
The authority said via its official Telegram channel that the meeting reviewed the positive track of investment cooperation between the two sides, in light of the qualitative shift the forum achieved in strengthening economic dialogue and opening broader horizons for public-private partnerships in both countries.
The two sides also discussed joint institutional follow-up and coordination mechanisms to accelerate the implementation of investment projects, strengthen the investment environment, expand economic cooperation, and support sustainable development partnerships serving the shared interests of both countries.
The first Syria-UAE Investment Forum, organized by the Syrian Investment Authority, was held on May 11 to explore investment and economic cooperation prospects between Syria and the UAE.
