Katie Price has spoken out after husband Lee Andrews was confirmed to be held in Dubai prison on alleged espionage charges
Katie Price has labelled her husband Lee Andrews as the “most hated man in Britain” in a dramatic new revelation. She has also provided insight into the peculiar activity surrounding his social media account when he was reportedly missing.
Lee, 43, is now confirmed to be detained in a Dubai prison on espionage allegations, according to Katie, 48. She detailed how he had been questioned by authorities in the United Arab Emirates, who reportedly suspected him of being “like James Bond”.
During a recent episode of her podcast, Katie disclosed she had finally made contact with Lee for the first time since his puzzling disappearance earlier this month. She stated she managed to speak with him for two minutes, facilitated through Lee’s father.
The conversation is understood to have originated from Dubai’s Al Awir prison following Lee’s reported arrest on May 14. Initially, Katie had feared he was being abducted, having witnessed him being restrained and placed into a vehicle bound for a “black site”.
Katie has now described him as the “most hated man” across the UK, revealing she utilised the brief two-minute conversation to express her frustration, reports the Daily Star.
She recounted: “I went, ‘Don’t worry about it Lee, just focus on one thing − you are the most hated man in Britain’ is what I said.”
She added: “He said ‘what, what, why?’ and I said ‘trust me, you are the most hated man in Britain, everyone thinks this is a scam, everyone thinks I’m in on it’. He’s like ‘what has gone on, I haven’t seen anything’ and I said ‘we will discuss it all when you’re out’.
“It’s been a b****y nightmare its gone viral, this and that,” she concluded. However, later during the podcast, she conceded her remarks might have been overly severe, “but I was telling him the truth.”
Katie’s sister Sophie, who co-presents the podcast alongside the celebrity icon, acknowledged: “Fair play”. Yet she subsequently declared Lee would be permanently barred from appearing on the programme to share his perspective.
Katie went on to explain how Lee managed to momentarily seem active on social media once more. He proceeded to follow a US Navy veteran, identified as Marisol, despite reportedly being “kidnapped” at the time and having previously followed only Katie.
However, the Pricey was swift to suggest it appeared to be an unusual technical fault within Instagram’s system that triggered it when Marisol resumed using social media.
“Apparently she activated her account and maybe she followed Lee, or Lee followed her, years ago,” she explained.
“They have never exchanged messages or nothing. So she blocked him. That’s why its gone back.”
