Emirates has introduced a series of measures designed to give passengers greater flexibility when booking travel, including unlimited free date changes on flights to Dubai and substantially reduced cancellation fees.
From 10 August 2026, passengers travelling to Dubai can change their travel dates an unlimited number of times without a fee across most Economy and Business Class fares. Economy Flex Plus, Premium Economy, Business Flex Plus and First Class tickets remain fully flexible.
The airline has also reduced refund fees for Dubai-bound journeys. Economy Saver and Business Special or Saver fares can now be refunded for $50, while the charge for Economy and Business Flex fares has been reduced to $25.
Across the wider Emirates network, tickets booked since 2 April 2026 include one complimentary date change, including itineraries connecting through Dubai. Passengers can also hold a fare for 24 hours free of charge while finalising their travel plans.
Emirates is additionally promoting its Comprehensive Travel Cover, available in 27 countries. The insurance includes cancellation and baggage protection, worldwide medical and emergency evacuation coverage, as well as specific protection related to conflict, including up to $25,000 in medical expenses and trip extensions of up to 30 days.
In cases of operational disruption, Emirates says affected passengers will be provided with accommodation where necessary and rebooked at no additional cost when onward connections are disrupted or Emirates services are unavailable, including during airspace closures.
The airline is also offering temporary benefits to Emirates Skywards members until 31 August. These include a 20% reduction in the Tier Miles required to reach Silver, Gold or Platinum status, a 20% Tier Miles bonus on Emirates and flydubai flights, and an enhanced Cash+Miles redemption rate of 2,000 Miles for $30, double the usual value.
