Earle Courtenay Rattray, chef de cabinet to the UN secretary-general, spoke highly of China”s contribution to global development at a high-level meeting marking the fifth anniversary of the Global Development Initiative, saying that China’s contribution extends beyond its borders. He noted that the GDI partly mirrors China’s own development journey and that China is well placed to share its development experience with developing countries.
