Shuang’an Department Store turns 32! This mall, in Haidian District, has unveiled a brand-new look, evolving from a mere shopping venue into a “third living space” where people can sit down and relax, connect, and have fun with friends.

A new open-air public lounge has been added on the first floor, serving as a “street-side living room” for nearby residents and office workers to relax and socialize. A variety of pop-up events and special activities will be held here on a regular basis in the future. The rooftop “Sky Garden” stands out as a major highlight of this facility upgrade, and has already been used for a Nailoong (a cartoon character) fan meet-up. Over the next two weeks, it will host a series of events including karting challenges, sunset concerts and immersive parent-child interactive theatres.

A total of more than 50 premium brands have joined the mall, spanning dining, sports and wellness, technology, parent-child activities and fashion. The dining lineup offers everything from full meals to casual bites. Happy Choice and Qianmu’s first store in Haidian have opened in the department store, among others, with Taco Bell set to open soon.

New lifestyle brands include Oxygen Chamber MMA, Flowin Pilates and Hairology. Two experiential pop-up spaces are open on the fifth floor to enable kids to learn while playing: Plan Understand World (an interactive reptile science popularization area) and EWA (a craft workshop).

In addition, a DJI store has also opened, allowing consumers to experience the latest imaging devices on-site. For clothing, new stores of Shan Hu Nian (its first store in Haidian), Songyong (its first store in Beijing) and Mardi (its first store in Haidian) have all made their debut. The sports zone on the third floor has also been upgraded and now has nearly 20 brands.

The 32nd anniversary celebrations are ongoing: more surprises are awaiting you at the mall.
