Jakarta, IO – Visitors examine unmanned aircraft, or drones, on display at the Indonesia Drone Expo (IDE) 2026 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta (Aug. 12). One of the highlights was a domestically developed military drone designed to carry mortars, highlighting advances in unmanned systems technology for defense applications.
The Indonesia Drone Expo 2026 has attracted around 900 participants from several countries, showcasing a wide range of drone innovations and technologies. The exhibition highlights the use of drones in practical applications and their role in improving efficiency and safety across various sectors, including agriculture, mining, logistics, media production and defense.

In addition to drone hardware and software, participants introduced flight management technologies and integrated systems. IDE 2026 also held forums discussing developments in drone applications and integration for both civilian and military sectors, including regulatory and operational aspects aimed at supporting the safe, efficient and sustainable use of unmanned technology in Indonesia.
