ImmunityBio (IBRX) Could Be 45% Undervalued On UAE ANKTIVA Approval

What the UAE ANKTIVA approval means for ImmunityBio stock

ImmunityBio (IBRX) is back on investor radar after the Emirates Drug Establishment in the UAE granted marketing authorization for ANKTIVA across two cancer indications, expanding the therapy’s global regulatory footprint.

The decision covers ANKTIVA in combination with BCG for BCG unresponsive non muscle invasive bladder cancer and with immune checkpoint inhibitors for metastatic non small cell lung cancer. For shareholders, the approval adds another commercial jurisdiction and highlights how regulators are assessing the company’s clinical data package.

See our latest analysis for ImmunityBio.

ImmunityBio’s latest ANKTIVA authorization in the UAE arrives after a sharp year to date share price return of 254.95% and a 1 year total shareholder return of 202.53%. However, the 30 day share price return fell 22.07%, which suggests momentum has cooled in the short term as investors reassess risk around execution and future approvals.

After ImmunityBio’s sharp multi month surge and recent pullback, the UAE news adds fresh fuel to an already volatile story. Does the current valuation still give buyers enough compensation for the clinical, funding and execution risk ahead?

Most Popular Narrative: 44.8% Undervalued

On the most followed narrative, ImmunityBio’s fair value of $13 sits well above the last close at $7.17, which frames the UAE approval inside a much bigger growth story built around ANKTIVA and a broader immunotherapy platform.

The rapid global expansion of ANKTIVA into 33 countries, including the U.S., EU, U.K., and Saudi Arabia, together with commercial partners like Accord and regional distributors, sets up a much larger treated patient base over time, which is directly tied to future product revenue growth.

Read the complete narrative.

Want to see what sits behind that global rollout story? The narrative leans on aggressive revenue scaling, a sharp swing in margins and a future earnings profile that assumes investors accept a premium valuation multiple.

Result: Fair Value of $13 (UNDERVALUED)

Have a read of the narrative in full and understand what’s behind the forecasts.

However, investors still need to weigh key risks, including ImmunityBio’s current net loss of $854.534 million and the possibility that future trial or regulatory setbacks could weaken the ANKTIVA-led thesis.
