ONE and Yusuke Murata’s One-Punch Man Vol. 37 climbs from No. 7 to No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Book Hot 100, on the chart released July 23.

The latest volume of the popular superhero manga was powered by the July 17 release of its digital edition, topping the e-books metric. The title also maintains a top 10 position in brick-and-mortar.

Debuting at No. 2 is the latest volume of the manga adaptation of the popular online novel Shangri-La Frontier. Hiromu Arakawa’s Yomi no Tsugai (Daemons of the Shadow Realm) Vol. 13 climbs from No. 5 to No. 3, leading brick-and-mortar and placing No. 3 in e-commerce (EC).

Haruki Murakami’s The Tale of KAHO — now in its third chart week — stays in the top 10 at No. 7, continuing to place in the top 10 across brick-and-mortar, EC and social media. Yuu Nagira’s Hoshi wo Amu makes its first top 10 appearance at No. 8, following the July 15 release of its paperback edition. The title places No. 11 in brick-and-mortar and tops the social media metric, drawing renewed attention.

The July 15 announcement of the 175th Naoki Prize winner — Kasumi Asakura’s Kengwai — sends the title surging from outside the top 100 to No. 30. The 175th Akutagawa Prize winner, Chito Kosagawa’s Zombie Kaishufu, likewise jumps from outside the top 100 to No. 40. Both titles score strongly in social media — No. 4 and No. 2, respectively — and their trajectories in the coming weeks will be ones to watch.
