Thailand:

Vega celebrated its 40th anniversary with a gala dinner in Bangkok, bringing together more than 200 guests from across its international network to mark the milestone and reflect on the company’s global growth.

Held at The Athenee Hotel last week, the event welcomed international clients, consultants, vendor partners, company leadership and employees. Proceedings opened with a live drum and violin performance before a series of presentations highlighting Vega’s history and regional development.

CEO Steve Medeiros opened the formal programme, while founder and board member Laurie Chow reflected on the company’s journey over the past four decades and thanked employees and partners for their role in its growth. Commemorative gifts were presented to both leaders before the executive leadership team and regional managers joined them onstage for a toast.

The evening also featured updates from regional leadership. Executive director Molly Chow discussed developments in North Asia and the importance of supporting women in the AV industry, while managing director Richard Johns highlighted the establishment of Vega Japan. Lastly, Blessing Joseph, SVP and managing director for India and MEA, outlined the company’s expansion across India, the Middle East and Africa.

Vega also received industry recognition during the event, with AVIXA CEO David Labuskes and chief global officer Sarah Joyce presenting the company with a commemorative gift to mark its 40th anniversary.

Guests were served a multicourse dinner accompanied by live entertainment and a prize draw featuring technology products supplied by partner companies. The celebration was supported by Absen, Crestron, Gude, LG, Neat, Q-SYS, Sennheiser, Shure, ViewSonic and Yamaha.

The evening concluded with a group photograph and a light show, bringing Vega’s anniversary celebrations to a close while looking ahead to the company’s next stage of growth.
