APTRA registration is now open for its North Asia Forum, to be held at the Hopewell Hotel in Wan Chai, Hong Kong on November 12, 2026. The event will be held in collaboration with the Airport Authority Hong Kong and Hong Kong International Airport as platinum host partners. In addition, King Power Hong is confirmed as a gold partner, while research partners include m1nd-set and China Trading Desk.
The Forum program runs from 2:00pm to 10:00pm with plenary sessions during the afternoon followed by an evening cocktail reception at the hotel’s iconic Level 58. Topics include the launch of new consumer insights for the region, together with landlord, retailer and category perspectives of the opportunities and challenges from key markets including Hong Kong, China, Japan and Korea.
Sunil Tuli, APTRA President and Group Chief Executive, King Power Group (Hong Kong), remarks, “North Asia is one of the most complex travel retail regions in the world right now, and that’s exactly why we’re bringing the APTRA North Asia Forum to Hong Kong. Hong Kong International Airport has just delivered its fastest passenger recovery since 2022, and mainland Chinese travelers are moving again in huge numbers, yet Korea’s duty free sector has fallen to levels last seen a decade ago, and Japan is navigating its own headwinds. Understanding those diverging realities, market by market, is essential if our industry is to capture the opportunity in front of it.
“We’re extremely grateful to our partners, whose support enables APTRA to offer access to this important industry gathering at a highly competitive price point, and to launch new regional consumer insights from m1nd-set and China Trading Desk. Together with landlord, retailer and category perspectives from Hong Kong, China, Japan and Korea, delegates will leave with real clarity on where to focus next.”
Alby Tsang, Director of Retail and Property Development at Hong Kong International Airport, adds, “We are delighted to partner with APTRA in hosting the North Asia Forum. At Hong Kong International Airport, we are committed to innovating concepts and experiences to meet the evolving expectations of global passengers. The Forum provides an invaluable platform for industry leaders to discuss retail innovation, passenger engagement, and sector challenges brought by evolving market conditions. We look forward to engaging with other industry participants to share perspectives on travel retail’s future development.”
Delegate tickets are priced at US$150 to include the afternoon of plenary sessions and the evening reception. APTRA has negotiated preferential rates for a limited number of hotel rooms at The Hopewell.
