India struck first with a commanding six-wicket win at Edgbaston, only for England to hit back at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff and level things up to force a decider at the Home of Cricket.

The occasion carries added weight for the tourists, with heavy speculation surrounding Rohit Sharma’s international future, though the BCCI has denied reports suggesting this will be his last match for India.
