Two new Xiaomi Skynomad EREV crossovers revealed core specs in China as they applied for a sales license, ready to enter the domestic market under the N70 and the N90 names. CarNewsChina gathered all the information about the newcomers from Xiaomi, exposed by the local ministry.

It was previously revealed that Xiaomi created an independent Skynomad car brand to sell comfort-focused range extenders, while Xiaomi Auto will continue the series of all-electric driver-focused vehicles. At the initial stage, the Skynomad series will include the N70 and the N90 models.

Xiaomi Skynomad N70

The Skynomad N70 is an entry-level vehicle in the new line. It is a large crossover with dimensions of 4960/1998/1785 mm with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. For clarity, it is 36 mm longer than the Mercedes-Benz GLE. The Skynomad N70’s cabin adopts five seats. The car’s front and rear overhangs are 950 and 1,060 mm, respectively. The approach and departure angles are 18 and 22 degrees. It’s worth noting that the N70 rides on 19- and 21-inch wheels. The curb weight lies between 2,453 and 2,610 kg, depending on the powertrain.

Xiaomi Skynomad N70

The Xiaomi Skynomad N70 adopts a 1.5-liter M15DRE engine manufactured by Changan’s subsidiary Harbin Dongang. Its peak power is 112 kW (150 hp). This ICE acts as a generator, sending power to a battery. The entry-level car offers a single electric motor in the rear axle, producing 210 kW (282 hp). It is paired with a 52 kWh Sunwoda-made LFP pack, suitable for 270 km of electric range. Its fuel consumption with a depleted battery is 5.8 liters per 100 km. The top speed is 190 km/h.

Equipment of the Xiaomi Skynomad N70

The AWD variant of this crossover, called the N70 Max, has a 100 kW (134 hp) electric motor in the front axle, bringing the total power output to 310 kW (416 hp). It is worth noting that most of this car’s EREV rivals offer more power. However, the N70 Max has a CALB’s ternary NMC battery with a capacity of 76 kWh. This version runs up to 380 km on a single battery charge. The fuel consumption with a depleted battery is 6.2 liters per 100 km. The car’s top speed is similar to the RWD variant.

The Xiaomi Skynomad N70 has large headlights, semi-hidden door handles, a LiDAR sensor on the roof, and a ring-shaped taillight unit. Its equipment includes electrically powered side steps.

Xiaomi Skynomad N90

The Xiaomi Skynomad N90 is a full-size SUV with dimensions of 5285/1998/1825 mm. Its wheelbase reaches 3,080 mm. For clarity, it is 76 mm longer than the Mercedes-Benz GLS. It is worth noting that this version adopts staggered 21-inch wheels with 255/45 tires in the front and 265/45 in the back. The Skynomad’s flagship boasts a 965-mm front overhang and a 1,240-mm rear overhang. Its approach and departure angles are 18 and 19 degrees, respectively.

Xiaomi Skynomad N90

The Skynomad N90’s interior adopts 5- and 7-seat layouts. It was previously revealed that the front seats of this vehicle will rotate by 180 degrees. The curb weight is 2,800 kg. And the gross weight is 3,361 kg.

Xiaomi Skynomad N90

Only the Max trim level of the Xiaomi Skynomad N90 was exposed by the Chinese regulator. It has the same 1.5-liter range extender and two e-motors for 310 kW (416 hp). The top speed is 190 km/h. The N90 comes standard with a 76 kWh ternary NMC battery from CALB, suitable for 370 km of range. A fuel consumption of the ICE with a drained battery is stated at 6.26 liters per 100 km.

According to China EV DataTracker, Xiaomi Auto sales reached 185,055 units in H1 2026, up 17.2% Year-Over-Year. The launch of families-focused Skynomad vehicles can make a substantial boost to the automaker’s market performance.
