Israel deployed the Iron Dome air defense system in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the start of the conflict with Iran, Israeli Transportation and Road Safety Minister Miri Regev confirmed this in an interview with Israeli army radio Galei Tzahal, APA reports.
“The UAE has realized that ballistic missiles are one of the biggest problems, and they enjoy our support,” she said. The newspaper Maariv notes that Regev’s statement marks the first acknowledgment by an Israeli minister of the transfer of Iron Dome batteries to the UAE. Israel has previously made no official comment on the matter.
