The Emirati Supplier Programme awarded AED1.78 billion in contracts to Emirati small and medium-sized enterprises in 2025, marking a 38 per cent increase compared to the previous year, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said on Friday.

In a post on social media platform X, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, said the programme reflects Dubai’s ambition to create “the world’s most empowering environment for entrepreneurs”.

He added that Emiratis will always remain at the heart of the emirate’s economic priorities.

Managed by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, a subsidiary of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, the initiative is designed to create more business opportunities for Emirati-owned companies.

His Highness said supporting Emirati entrepreneurs and start-ups represents an investment in Dubai’s future and in the companies that will drive tomorrow’s economy.

The programme forms part of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the size of the emirate’s economy over the next decade and strengthen its position as one of the world’s leading business hubs.
