Top ministers sketched new energy and housing projects to support Ukraine’s recovery. Further investment and implementation details will be announced at the URC conference.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko discussed with UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashimi the prospects for strengthening the partnership between the two countries and identified promising avenues for joint work.

Sviridenko shared on her Telegram channel the substance of the talks and the main emphasis of the interaction.

Even during the war, Ukraine is ready to share its experience in implementing new approaches to defense and ensuring energy resilience. This is precisely what we are already doing together with our partners in the Middle East.

– Sviridenko

The parties outlined the framework for developing economic cooperation, in particular in the context of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between Ukraine and the UAE, which will come into force next month and opens up new opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations.

According to the head of government, there was also discussion of the potential for cooperation in the energy sector.

Partnership and Reconstruction

The parties gave particular attention to cooperation in the housing construction sector as an important avenue for Ukraine’s reconstruction.

In Gdańsk, the two-day fifth International Conference on Ukraine’s Reconstruction URC 2026 began. This year’s conference program is divided into five thematic areas: business, security and defense, integration into the European Union, regional development, and human capital.

At the opening of the forum, Sviridenko announced plans to sign documents totaling €10 billion and to disburse the first €3.2 billion of the EU loan of €90 billion.

These agreements confirm the high level of cooperation between Ukraine and the UAE and indicate the partners’ readiness to support Ukraine’s reconstruction.
