Manchester to Bangkok Flights Quadruple in Frequency This Winter

Norse Atlantic Airways will expand its Manchester Airport–Bangkok service from once weekly to four times weekly this winter, following strong demand for the route launched in November 2025.

The seasonal service, which ran weekly between November 2025 and March 2026, attracted more than 10,000 passengers in its inaugural season. The expanded schedule will begin on December 5, 2026 and run until April 18, 2027, with outbound flights from Manchester operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. All services will be operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Tickets are now on sale.

“Bangkok is one of the world’s most-visited cities, so we knew this route would be popular — but this expansion of Norse’s service really demonstrates the demand for long-haul travel from the UK’s global gateway in the North,” said Chris Woodroofe, Managing Director at Manchester Airport.

Eivind Roald, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways, said the increase to four weekly flights is a direct reflection of traveler demand, and that Thailand continues to be one of the strongest performing destinations in the airline’s network.

The service remains the only direct connection between the North of England and Bangkok. Passengers will depart through Manchester Airport’s new Terminal 2, whose £1.3 billion transformation is due to reach completion this summer.
