
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has commended the record-breaking participation of over 20 million Egyptian students in the 10th Arab Reading Challenge.
Students from Egypt’s Ministry of Education and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif schools made up around half of the overall participating pool, which has reached to 40.2 million students.
This includes the participation of over 20 million students, of which 41,168 were People of Determination, coming from 40,468 schools and supervised by 50,315 teachers.
In a post on social media platform X, His Highness said the country’s generation carries “the banner of culture, learning, and knowledge” as it heads to a prospering future.
Sheikh Mohammed said he’s eager to welcom participants from Egypt to Dubai in October alongside more than 60 other countries for this year’s competition.
