Condor and Etihad expand partnership with new Bangkok–Abu Dhabi route and loyalty integration

Condor and Etihad Airways have expanded their strategic partnership with a new loyalty agreement and the announcement of a new long-haul service linking Bangkok and Abu Dhabi.

The developments build on the airlines’ cooperation first announced in December 2025 and were formalised during the IATA Annual General Meeting in Rio de Janeiro.

A key element of the expansion is the launch of Condor-operated services between Bangkok and Abu Dhabi. The route will form part of Condor’s broader Abu Dhabi network, alongside planned services from Frankfurt and Berlin, strengthening connectivity between Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

The partnership also includes a new frequent flyer integration: members of Etihad Airways’ Etihad Guest programme will be able to earn and redeem miles on Condor-operated flights, significantly extending redemption options across Europe, the Americas, the Caribbean and beyond.

Both airlines emphasise that the agreement combines Condor’s European leisure network with Etihad’s global long-haul hub in Abu Dhabi, aiming to improve connectivity across Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. The collaboration is also positioned as supportive of Abu Dhabi’s broader tourism and aviation growth strategy.

With Condor’s upcoming services from Frankfurt, Berlin and Bangkok, Abu Dhabi is increasingly being developed as a central interchange point between the two carriers’ networks, enhancing onward travel options across Etihad’s global destinations.
