Enzo Bettamio, 18, of no fixed address, was the man extradited from the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
A man was extradited from Dubai to the UK and hit with a murder charge. It comes as Kamonnan ‘Angela’ Thiamphanit, 27, was found dead with multiple stab wounds on Monday, April 8, 2024.
She was found by police at her home in Stanhope Place, Marble Arch, at about 8.30am that day. Kamonnan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Enzo Bettamio, 18, of no fixed address, was the man extradited from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This followed joint enquiries by the Met and specialist lawyers in the CPS’s extradition and International Units.
He was extradited yesterday (Friday, April 24) and formally charged with Angela’s murder the next day. He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday, April 25).
Angela’s family are aware of the update and continues to be supported by specialist officers. Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, who is leading the investigation, said: “I would also like to express my sincere thanks to Angela’s family and friends for their patience and unwavering support to the investigation, throughout what has been an incredibly difficult and distressing time for them.”
