Lee Andrews ‘claims Katie Price will give him money’ for life inside grim Dubai prison

Lee Andrews is reportedly telling his fellow prison inmates that his wife, Katie Price, will fund his lifestyle behind bars inside Dubai’s notorious Al-Awir prison

Katie Price’s husband, Lee Andrews, is reportedly telling his prison mates she will help fund his life behind bars. Andrews, whom Katie married in January, just hours after meeting him for the first time, is currently banged up in Al-Awir prison.

In order to be released, Mr Andrews will have to fork out a staggering £140,000 for his freedom. And although he’s claimed to be a millionaire in the past, he recently said to have asked Katie to launch a GoFundMe to help fund his release. which would see members of the public part with their cash. However, Katie refused to do so, telling her husband that “everyone hates you”.

But now, it’s alleged that Lee is telling fellow prisoners in jail that Katie will give him cash to help fund his life inside. Inmates at Al-Awir can purchase snacks and cigarettes using what they call a “punch”.

Prisoners use a card system and an iPad to place their orders, but upon arrival, Lee was too late and had no money to purchase anything. “Once you have that card, money can be loaded onto it, and you can use it to buy extra food or use the phone,” a prisoner told The Sun.

They added: “He was bragging that Katie was going to give him cash, but no one knows if she has or not.” However, the Mirror understands that Katie isn’t giving her husband any cash.

Lee has the opportunity to earn money by doing laundry and cleaning. He can also follow the path some inmates have gone down by sewing – turning trousers into blankets and vice versa. But like most prisons, there’s also a black market, with inmates able to purchase more on “punch” and sell it throughout the week.

But although Lee claims he’s used to a life of luxury and purchased a multi-million-pound mansion, in cash, his life behind bars is quite different. They do, however, have access to televisions and a gym, which Lee is said to frequent.

While football games are organised in the courtyard, Lee hasn’t been called up yet. “Given the drivel he’s been coming out with when he’s been boasting about how he was nicked, he’d probably say he trained with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr,” the inmate said.

Since being banged up, Lee has had his head shaved, with prison bosses ensuring that every prisoner has as little hair as possible to stop a possible lice infestation breaking out amongst the 6,000 inmates.

Despite Lee being behind bars, Lee has been accused of “scamming people” with the help of an accomplice. It has now been claimed by one of Katie’s fans that Lee’s Facebook page – and a man purporting to be ‘Lee’s business manager’ – was trying to ‘scam’ him whilst Lee was in prison.

The man, called David, claimed: “I messaged Andrews’ Facebook account as a joke and said I had money to invest on May 20. I was stunned when I got a response on June 3. The person claimed to be Lee’s business manager and asked me to send my number.”

David then said he had been asked by a man called Robert Davis, who said he was Lee’s ‘business manager’, to give him £5,000 as an ‘investment’. He explained: “I responded and said I was keen to invest – obviously I wasn’t, but I wanted to see how far they would take it. The man speaking to me said his name was Robert Davis and that he worked for Lee.

“He even sent me a dodgy image which was clearly AI. It showed a little bald man in an office. When he sent me the picture, he wrote: ‘I have not done this to any of our clients, but I’m doing this for you because I respect my boss Andrews.'”

After sending his mobile number, two days later, David said he received a message from a British number. Aura was advertised on WhatsApp, with a message from Andrews at the top of the profile. David was later asked to transfer money to a personal account under a different name as the company’s accounts were still being set up. He was also offered the option to send the money via Western Union to a woman in Mississippi.

When the man was asked if Lee was in jail, a message sent back read: “My boss, he’s not in jail. My boss Andrews has a misunderstanding with his wife Katie, that’s why people think he’s in jail, he’s not,” according to The Sun.

The Mirror has approached Katie’s spokesperson and attempted to contact Lee Andrews.
