China Telecom kicked off a “Chongqing in Smart Cloud” launch event on May 15 to empower digital construction in the southwestern municipality, injecting strong momentum into its digital transformation.
Li Xiulin, Party secretary and general manager of China Telecom Chongqing, announced that, in line with China Telecom”s strategy of cloud building, digitalization and intelligentization, his company has incorporated a five-in-one intelligent cloud system and token management system, aiming to empower users and industries in Chongqing.
The new “computing power + platform + data + model + application” system, showcased by China Telecom Chongqing’s AI STORE of “Chongqing in Smart Cloud”, is an integrated online and offline intelligent information service portal that is dedicated to government agencies, enterprises, households, and individual clients, he said.
By focusing on five core areas, the AI STORE can provide precise, efficient, and practical intelligent support for the digital transformation of various spheres in Chongqing.
“We are making AI technology no longer the patent of a few large enterprises, but a public good that every resident and every institution can equally enjoy,” Li said.
“As the public entrance of China Telecom Chongqing’s digital and intelligent services, the AI STORE has broken down resource barriers, connecting service links, and offering a one-stop, convenient, and inclusive intelligent service support for urban digital transformation,” he noted.

As the “foundation” and “skeleton” of the digital world, the strategic layout of the digital base determines upper-level applications. China Telecom Chongqing also unveiled its three new digital bases: computing power network, quantum metropolitan area network, and new urban area network.
“In terms of computing power network, we aim to create a unified, autonomous, and controllable network with Token services as the core,” Li said, adding that China Telecom Chongqing’s quantum metropolitan area network is the world’s first distributed cryptographic service system achieving dual protection at the physical and algorithm layers.
“For new urban area network, we will reconstruct the new infrastructure with ‘cloud’ as the core, and create the first provincial-level new urban area network in the western region, showing six characteristics — ultra large bandwidth, integrated integration, high efficiency and agility, ultimate simplicity, comprehensive cloudification, and security and trustworthiness,” Li said.
Additionally, as the value of technology ultimately lies in serving the people, China Telecom Chongqing also put forward five major smart products to solidify industrial upgrading and enhance people’s livelihood: Smart Cloud broadband, Smart Cloud enterprising businesses, Smart Cloud dedicated line, Smart Medical AI platform, and AI visual creation platform.
Li emphasized that going forward, China Telecom Chongqing will continue to perfect new infrastructures and innovate its digital intelligence application scenarios, contributing to the high-quality development of Chongqing’s digital economy.
