JAKARTA – Innovate for Impact Day Jakarta 2026 successfully brought together more than 90 startup founders, investors, figures in the startup industry, and government representatives from various ASEAN countries, with active participation from Malaysia and Indonesia.
Held at The Garuda Spark Innovation Hub (GSIH) fX Sudirman-Jakarta with the theme “Catalysing Innovation for Impact in ASEAN”, this event is designed as a regional platform that presents two main programs, namely Creative Exchange Jakarta 2026 and Grill or Chill Jakarta 2026.
The two combine strategic discussions and real implementation that build more focused collaboration in the ASEAN startup ecosystem.
This event was organized collaboratively by Satu Creative and Garuda Spark Innovation Hub, a program under the Ministry of Communication and Digital, as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen regional connectivity in the ASEAN innovation landscape.
This event also became a momentum for the signing of a cooperation agreement between Satu Creative, represented by Ahmad Azuar Zainuddin, and the Directorate of Digital Ecosystem Development of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Republic of Indonesia, represented by Sonny Hendra Sudaryana.
This cooperation agreement is a reflection of a shared commitment to strengthening ASEAN’s innovation ecosystem collaboration through the development of more structured cross-country collaboration.
In the Creative Exchange Jakarta 2026 session, the discussion focuses on how innovation in ASEAN continues to grow with the impact of innovation which is now measured through accessibility, affordability, and adaptability in the midst of diverse market demand.
The impact of meaningful innovation is assessed not only from business growth, but also from the sustainability of access, the ability to adapt when there are changes, and long-term transformation.
Although support is available, many of them are still fragmented or not fully aligned with the needs of founders.
This shows the importance of a more targeted startup ecosystem design, where programs, funding access, and networks can be better integrated according to startup needs.
In addition, cross-market pathways are needed to bridge the development of collaboration based on common goals, not just formalities.
Meanwhile, the Grill or Chill Jakarta 2026 session focuses on implementation through a startup pitching session in front of a panel consisting of representatives from Satu Creative, the Ministry of Communication and Digital, Gobi Partners Indonesia, Instellar, and Pijar Foundation.
Through this session, the founders get a space to interact directly with stakeholders of the startup ecosystem. Of course, they also get strategic input that is relevant to market conditions.
Through the entire series of events, there is a clear vision, namely that startup innovation in ASEAN will continue to be determined by solutions that are relevant to the real needs of the community.
