Sébastien Buemi narrowly misses out on the podium in fourth place at the second Formula E race of the weekend in Berlin. The previous day’s winner Nico Müller did not finish in the points.
Buemi improved significantly compared to Saturday, when he did not make it past 12th place. In the end, the Envision driver was half a second off the podium on the circuit in the German capital. Edoardo Mortara (Mahindra) in seventh place was the second Swiss driver to finish in the points. Nico Müller, who had celebrated his first victory in Formula E the previous day, was unable to finish higher than 13th in his Porsche.
New Zealander Mitch Evans won ahead of Britain’s Oliver Rowland and Germany’s Pascal Wehrlein. It was Evans’ 16th victory in this race category, his second this season after his triumph in Miami.
In the overall standings, Wehrlein took the lead ahead of Evans. Mortara, who was still in the lead before the second race in Berlin, is in 3rd place.
Formula E continues in two weeks’ time with two races in Monaco.
