JAKARTA – Bank Jakarta held a blood donation as part of the series of 65th anniversary (HUT) celebrations. This activity involves PWI Jaya, PMI DKI Jakarta Province, and the DKI Jakarta CSR Forum, which was held at the Bank Jakarta headquarters.

This social action is one of the efforts to help maintain the availability of blood stocks in Jakarta, amid the ongoing need at hospitals.

Bank Jakarta President Director Agus H. Widodo said that blood donation activities were chosen as a form of the company’s real contribution to the community.

“Blood donation is a manifestation of Bank Jakarta’s social concern for the community. At the age of 65, we want this celebration to have a wider impact, not just a ceremonial one, but also to bring direct benefits through humanitarian action,” said Agus, Friday, April 24.

He emphasized that the anniversary was not only interpreted as an institutional achievement, but also a momentum to expand social roles through cross-sector collaboration.

“We hope that this activity can help meet the blood needs at hospitals and communities in need. This is also part of the spirit of collaboration that we continue to build,” he said.

Chairman of PWI Jaya Kesit B. Handoyo welcomed this initiative. According to him, blood donation activities show the importance of the involvement of various parties in humanitarian issues.

“We appreciate Bank Jakarta who made the 65th anniversary as a momentum to share through blood donation. This is a very positive and beneficial activity, as well as showing cross-sector collaboration can make a real contribution to the community,” said Kesit.

This activity was attended by Bank Jakarta employees, members of PWI Jaya, CSR partners, and the general public. The registration process to health checks took place since morning with a fairly high participation.

Bank Jakarta Corporate Secretary Arie Rinaldi said social activities would continue to be part of the company’s social responsibility program.

“This activity is expected to support the availability of blood stocks in DKI Jakarta while strengthening the spirit of social solidarity,” said Arie.
