Burj Al Arab closes for restoration work: All you need to know

The 18-month closure will see Burj Al Arab’s interiors enhanced and upgraded by Tristan Auer, a globally acclaimed French interior architect. According to a pop-up message on Burj Al Arab’s official website, the restoration work will be carried out in phases. It also states that the renovation is designed to refresh and upgrade the building’s decor while preserving its distinctive character. Further, the restoration programme has been developed after long-term planning, after over 25 years of continuous operations.

For those looking to book a stay here in the coming months, the website offers to help with an alternative reservation at one of the other Jumeirah properties. A report on Khaleej Times says that the hotel is unavailable for booking on any third-party booking sites until June 2027.
