Mirza Abbas, a member of the BNP Standing Committee and Political Advisor to the Prime Minister, has been taken to Malaysia for further advanced medical treatment after receiving care at Singapore General Hospital

BNP Media Cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed on Wednesday, April 16, 2026, that the veteran leader was shifted on Monday following doctors’ advice.

Mirza Abbas has been battling serious health issues since March 11, when he lost consciousness during Iftar.

After initially being treated in Dhaka and then flown to Singapore via air ambulance on March 15, his medical team has now decided to continue his treatment in Malaysia.
