ALGIERS – The 23rd edition of the professional food and agri-food trade show “Djazagro” opened Sunday at the Algiers Exhibition Centre (SAFEX), featuring nearly 700 exhibitors representing 28 countries.
Alongside a significant national presence of 150 companies and producers, this edition is marked by strong international participation from Italy, Turkey, China, and Germany. Exhibitors are showcasing a wide array of agri-food equipment, as well as processing and packaging solutions.
This year’s edition, which also hosts companies from several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, and Tunisia, places a particular emphasis on innovation, highlighted by the “Djaz’Innov” competition.
“The event serves as a strategic meeting platform for producers and industrialists, offering a wide range of machinery dedicated to agri-food processing, conditioning, and packaging,” the organizers stated.
They emphasized that advanced packaging is essential to strengthening the competitiveness of Algerian products in global markets.
A series of conferences and workshops will be held on the sidelines of the event, covering key topics such as exports as a growth lever, the valorization of agricultural by-products, food security, green innovation, and the circular economy.
