Japan’s Grand Nikko brand has made its first foray into Thailand with the debut of Grand Nikko Bangkok Sathorn, which began a phased opening on 10 April 2026.

The launch marks a regional milestone for the brand, bringing its omotenashi-inspired hospitality to one of Bangkok’s key business districts while positioning the property strongly in the city’s meetings and events market.

Opening its doors on South Sathorn Road, the hotel features 405-room hotel – including 36 extended-stay residences.

Its meetings and events offerings is anchored by the Sathorn Grand Ballroom, a 422-sqm pillarless space with a 7.5-metre ceiling. The venue accommodates up to 240 guests for banquets or 352 in theatre-style configuration and can be divided into two sections.

Supporting the ballroom is a range of meeting rooms including The Silom Room, which offers 238 sqm of space with a 5.6-metre ceiling and capacity for up to 210 guests for cocktail events or 216 in theatre format. On the ninth floor, three smaller rooms – Orchid, Jasmine and Lotus – each span 62 sqm and are suited to more intimate gatherings, accommodating up to 50 guests depending on setup.

The hotel is opening in phases, with several signature facilities scheduled to come online in the coming months. These include the Benkay Japanese fine dining restaurant, an outdoor garden extension of the TENKU 33 rooftop venue, a divana Spa, and the Nikko Club Lounge for selected guests.

At the business hotel, guestrooms blend Japanese design with contemporary comforts such as smart TVs, Nespresso machines and Toto Washlet systems. Dining spans multiple concepts, including the all-day restaurant Sasnuk, teppanyaki venue Icho, rooftop bar Temku 33 and café La-Mun, alongside leisure facilities such as a fitness centre, yoga studio and outdoor pool.

Located within walking distance of Chong Nonsi BTS station and about a 40-minute drive from Suvarnabhumi Airport, the hotel provides convenient access to Bangkok’s commercial and diplomatic hubs.
