Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder are looking to repeat. After running through the regular season to another league-leading record and a top spot in the Western Conference playoff bracket, OKC’s first test will be the winner of tonight’s Phoenix-Golden State play-in finale. No matter who they play in the first round, though, you know Shai is going to show up in style.

As we look forward to playoff tunnel fits and basketball that actually matters, Converse is prepping for more celebration with an upcoming colorway of the Shai 001 that would look nice on a parade route. Keeping with Shai’s luxurious fashion sense, the new pair features a premium leather upper that adds to the silhouette’s monochrome motif.

The Converse Shai 001 Ink looks like it fell off a shelf in a designer showroom, featuring a full coat of the kind of plush leather that looks soft in photos. The deep navy shade covers the entire shoe, minus a bit of silver popping out from the zipper running down the tongue, adding the same color to the sockliner, midsole, and nearly-invisible tongue logo.

SGA will debut the Converse Shai 001 Ink during OKC’s first game in the playoffs, with the pair set for a public release on May 14, 2026 through Converse and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is still TBD. For all the latest SGA Converse news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
