Wall of Entertainment partners Chronicle Media on audience growth strategy for US YouTube originals

UK-based digital entertainment studio Wall of Entertainment has partnered with AI audience platform Chronicle Media as it expands into the US market with its first original American YouTube series.

The agreement will see Chronicle provide audience discovery, channel optimisation and organic growth services for Wall’s two new creator-led game shows, Substitute Teacher and House Rules. Both series stream on Wall of Entertainment’s YouTube channel and are available on Tubi in the US.

The partnership marks Wall of Entertainment’s first collaboration with Chronicle and comes as the producer continues its US expansion following the appointment of former Confluential Films executive Jonny Paterson to lead its American operations.

Under the deal, Chronicle will use its audience simulation platform to identify and grow YouTube audiences for the two series. “Reaching the right audience is everything in the creator economy and that’s exactly where Chronicle goes to work,” said Chronicle co-founder and CEO Aaron Sisto. “(Wall of Entertainment) has built one of the most consistent track records of premium YouTube content, combining undeniable talent with formats that genuinely resonate with younger viewers. Our platform helps them find those viewers, grow them and keep them coming back.”

Wall of Entertainment co-founders Joivan Wade and Percelle Ascott said the partnership is intended to help the studio connect its programming with US audiences. “We’ve spent over a decade proving that premium formats built around creator talent can travel; 12 billion views across our catalogue has shown that. The challenge in the US isn’t the content, it’s connecting it to the right audience at the right moment. Chronicle solves that problem. Substitute Teacher and House Rules are exactly the kind of shows that win when they find their audience and now they will.”

Substitute Teacher (pictured) is a comedy game show set in a high school classroom, with contestants DangMattSmith, HeyTonyTV, Nia Ivy and Lauren Ashley Beck competing in trivia and physical challenges. The series is executive produced by Wade, Ascott, Jonny Paterson and content creator Charles Brockman III, the host of the series. Wade and Ascott are co-directing all four episodes.

House Rules features two couples competing in a series of challenges centred on domestic life. It is executive produced by Wade, Ascott, Paterson and show host Laro Benz, with Wade and Ascott also serving as co-directors.
