Uniogen announced that its Annual General Meeting has elected Christine Richter, PhD, MBA, as a new member of the company’s Board of Directors. Dr. Richter brings nearly two decades of international leadership experience across oncology, biotechnology and biopharmaceutical commercialization, further strengthening Uniogen’s strategic capabilities as the company advances its oncology diagnostics portfolio and international growth ambitions.

Dr. Richter has held senior leadership roles at Amgen, Takeda Oncology, LEO Pharma and IO Biotech across the United States and Europe. Her career has focused on bringing innovative oncology and specialty care therapies from science to market, combining scientific depth with strategic and operational leadership.

“On behalf of the Board and management team, I am very pleased to welcome Christine to Uniogen,” said Ilari Antila, CEO of Uniogen. “Her international oncology experience, scientific insight and strategic commercialization expertise will be highly valuable as we continue to strengthen our position in cancer diagnostics and prepare for Uniogen’s next phase of growth.”

Most recently, as a member of the executive leadership team at IO Biotech, Dr. Richter worked closely with the Board and investors on commercialization planning, strategic positioning, and partnership readiness for novel therapeutic cancer vaccine programs.

“I am honored to join the Board of Uniogen at such an exciting stage in the company’s development,” said Dr. Richter. “Uniogen combines strong scientific foundations with innovative diagnostic technologies and a clear ambition to address an important unmet need in ovarian cancer. I look forward to supporting the company’s growth and helping advance solutions that can make a meaningful difference for patients and healthcare systems.”

This appointment further strengthens the company’s Board with additional international oncology and commercialization expertise. The remaining Board composition remains unchanged, and all current Board members Yvonne Mårtensson, Else Beth Trautner, Johan Kronberg and Timo Lövgren continue in their roles.
