Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Malaysia’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ahmad Kamrizamil Bin Mohd Riza as he completes his diplomatic mission in the country.
The meeting featured an exchange of views on the current state of and prospects for the development of friendly and partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Malaysia, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
The sides emphasized the importance of expanding political dialogue, intensifying reciprocal visits and contacts, and strengthening cooperation in trade and economy, as well as in the fields of energy, education, tourism, and culture.
During the talks, the parties discussed cooperation between Azerbaijan and Malaysia within international organizations, hailing the effective partnership between the two countries within the Non-Aligned Movement and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
They also reviewed the post-conflict situation in the region, the process of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and prospects for broader regional cooperation.
FM Bayramov thanked the ambassador for his contribution to the development of bilateral relations and wished him success in his future endeavors. The diplomat expressed gratitude for the support provided during his tenure in Azerbaijan and confidence in the continued strengthening of ties between the two countries.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
