Prediction for Alliance vs Nemesis

XSE Pro League Guangzhou 2026 moves into the playoff stage, where every mistake can cost a team its title run. In the quarterfinal, Alliance will face Nemesis in a Bo3 series. The Swedish side comes into the match as the favorite thanks to more stable form and a higher position in the world ranking, while Nemesis will try to continue their best tournament run of the season.

XSE PRO LEAGUE GUANGZHOU 2026 PLAYOFFS — FORMAT SPECIFICS

The tournament playoffs are played in a Single Elimination format. All matches except the Grand Final are Bo3, so the decisive factors will be map pool depth, veto quality, and the ability to adapt throughout the series. Alliance enter the match as slight favorites according to bookmaker odds and ranking, but Nemesis have already shown in the group stage that they are capable of challenging even higher-rated opponents.

Prediction for TYLOO vs 9z — XSE Pro League Guangzhou 2026

HEAD-TO-HEAD — FIRST MEETING

Alliance and Nemesis have not yet faced each other at the official level, so there is no head-to-head history between them. That makes the veto even more important. Both teams have different strengths in their map pools, and the lack of direct meetings removes the possibility of relying on previous experience.

CURRENT FORM

Alliance — stability and confident play on key maps
Alliance have won their last three matches in a row, beating 9z, B8, and Ninjas in Pyjamas. The team plays disciplined Counter-Strike, manages its economy well, and rarely has collapse stretches during a series.

The leader of the roster is eraa, who holds a 1.18 rating over the last three months. He sets the pace for most of the team’s attacking rounds. twist and upE also play an important role by providing stability in rifle duels and in the middle stages of rounds.

Nemesis — individual impact and a dangerous map pool
Nemesis continue to pleasantly surprise at this tournament. The team already knocked out EYEBALLERS, although before that they lost to BetBoom, and overall they look much more confident than they did a few months ago.

The best player on the roster remains r3salt with a 1.25 rating. He is the team’s main firepower and regularly delivers decisive impact in clutches and key firefights. SELLTER and tex1y will also be important, as they are responsible for defensive stability.

MAP POOL & VETO

Statistics over the last 3 months (Alliance | Nemesis):

  1. Cache: — | —
  2. Dust2: 62% | 60%
  3. Mirage: — | 82%
  4. Inferno: 92% | 70%
  5. Nuke: 58% | 91%
  6. Ancient: 70% | 62%
  7. Anubis: 50% | —

Expected veto:

  • Alliance will almost certainly ban Mirage — a map on which Nemesis show their best results (82%), while Alliance themselves barely use it.
  • Nemesis will most likely remove Inferno. This is Alliance’s strongest map with a 92% win rate, where the Swedish side look maximally comfortable.

Likely picks:

  • Alliance: Ancient — one of the team’s most stable maps with a high win percentage.
  • Nemesis: Nuke — a map where the team has an impressive 91% win rate and regularly outplays opponents thanks to strong structure.

Possible decider map: Dust2 looks like the most logical third map. Both teams play it regularly and have almost identical success rates on it.

KEY DUELS

  1. eraa vs r3salt — the main duel of the match for individual impact and control of key rounds.
  2. twist vs SELLTER — the battle for entry frags and space control on the attacking side.
  3. upE vs tex1y — the clash of two versatile rifle players in late-round situations.

PREDICTION

Nemesis have already exceeded expectations at this tournament and have every chance to make the series competitive thanks to a strong Nuke and the excellent individual form of r3salt. Still, Alliance look like the more balanced team. They have a wider map pool, perform more consistently against opponents of a similar level, and collapse far less often in long series. If Alliance avoid having Nuke as the deciding map or manage to contain r3salt, the Swedish side should have the better chance of reaching the semifinals.

Predicted result: Alliance 2–1 Nemesis
