Katie Price has been travelling between the UK and Dubai, where her husband Lee Andrew lives, and says she feels safer in the Middle Eastern city despite the ongoing conflict in the region

Katie Price has disclosed she feels more secure in Dubai because of “shootings” happening throughout the UK. The former glamour model has been splitting her time between her home in Britain and the United Arab Emirates, where her husband, Lee Andrew, resides.
Despite the continuing turmoil throughout the Middle East, the mum-of-five, 47, isn’t overly worried. She has previously discussed missile alert warnings while visiting her spouse and once bragged about travelling on an almost deserted plane to see her fourth husband.
Yet, in her most recent revelation, Katie claims that regardless of the bombings throughout the Middle East, she feels more protected there than in her homeland. This, she explains, is because of regular shootings and a rising crime rate throughout the UK, which leaves her petrified.
Chatting to her sister, Sophie, on her podcast, The Katie Price Show: “It’s weird, you feel safe out here, and it’s all good. But then you’ve got that [fighter jets], going on. And then I go online and look at the news in England, and I’m so glad I’m in Dubai.
“Every single day I’m looking at the English news, there’s now shootings, more crime, it’s weird. Although you’ve got that going on here, you walk around you feel safe, you can leave your bag anywhere. You can be in a restaurant and leave your bag at the table, go to the toilet and come back.
“It’s safe and all like that, you’ve got no crimes going on. But in England, you’re scared to walk the streets in case you’re mugged, it’s weird isn’t it?” Katie went on to reveal that she had watched a Netflix documentary about the London 7/7 bombings, explaining she despised travelling into London because of the terrorist attack in 2005, reports the Mirror.
On July 7, four suicide bombers targeted the transport network across London, killing 52 people and injuring over 770 other civilians. Three explosions occurred on the Underground system around 8:50am at Aldgate, Edgware Road and Russell Square stations. Meanwhile, the fourth device went off at 9:47am on a bus which had been diverted to Tavistock Square, close to the British Transport Police headquarters.
Elsewhere, Katie disclosed that she had been quietly developing her new Sky documentary for two years, commending the team for being “kind” and knowing “everything” about her. In her new series, Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, she has pledged to reveal “the good, the bad and the ugly”.
In a trailer for the Sky series, Katie says: “Shall we start with the good the bad or the ugly. I am what I am, but I have got nothing to hide. You can speak to anyone you like.”
The series was originally planned to be just two episodes, but Katie disclosed she convinced bosses to extend it to four, and there could “easily” be more. And despite her heartbreak and turmoil over the years, Price said there will be celebratory coverage of her achievements. This retrospective, driven by archival material, pledges to delve deeper than the headlines, offering intimate insights into Katie’s life and her closest family and friends. It also teases contributions from individuals sharing their perspectives on events and “stories which have never been told”.
