BYD has taken center stage at the Beijing Auto Show with a wide-ranging lineup of new electric vehicles and cutting-edge technologies, reinforcing its position as a global leader in new-energy mobility.

Across its brands—BYD, DENZA, FANGCHENGBAO, and YANGWANG—the company introduced everything from futuristic concepts to ultra-high-performance production models.

The showcase highlights BYD’s strategy of covering every segment of the EV market, from mainstream family cars to ultra-luxury supercars, while accelerating the adoption of electrification through key innovations like FLASH Charging and the second-generation Blade Battery.

DENZA Z Signals Entry Into Electric Supercar Territory

A major highlight of the event is the debut of the DENZA Z, an all-electric supercar that marks a bold expansion for BYD’s premium brand. Designed under the direction of Wolfgang Egger, the Z combines advanced aerodynamics with lightweight construction and a striking “Pure Emotion” design philosophy.

With more than 1,000 horsepower and a claimed 0–100 km/h time of under two seconds, the DENZA Z is engineered for extreme performance. It also integrates BYD’s latest battery and ultra-fast charging technologies, aiming to deliver both speed and usability for long-distance driving.

The model has already begun testing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife and is scheduled for its global debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, signaling serious intent to compete with established European supercar makers.

SEAL 08 and SEALION 08 Elevate the Ocean Series

BYD is also expanding its Ocean Series with two new flagship models: the SEAL 08 sedan and SEALION 08 SUV. These vehicles are positioned as premium family-focused EVs, combining advanced technology with upscale comfort.

The SEAL 08 features a minimalist, high-end interior with premium materials and a spacious, open layout. Comfort is a priority, with zero-gravity seats, massage functions, and a tech-rich cabin designed for both driver and passengers.

Meanwhile, the SEALION 08 offers a larger, three-row SUV format with six independent seats and generous dimensions. Its design emphasizes presence and practicality, while still maintaining a modern aesthetic.

Both models benefit from BYD’s latest Blade Battery and FLASH Charging system, enabling rapid charging times and improved efficiency, alongside advanced suspension systems for enhanced ride comfort.

OCEAN-V Concept Explores Future Mobility

Looking ahead, BYD introduced the OCEAN-V concept, a flexible “mobility cube” designed to adapt to different lifestyles. The concept reimagines vehicle interiors with configurable modes, including a driving setup, a cinema-style entertainment space, and even a camping-friendly layout.

This approach reflects a broader trend toward multi-functional EVs that go beyond transportation, positioning the car as a lifestyle hub for families and younger users.

YANGWANG U9 Xtreme Enters Production

In the high-performance segment, YANGWANG presented the production version of the U9 Xtreme, a hypercar that previously made headlines with a top speed of 496 km/h and a Nürburgring lap time under seven minutes.

The production model, known as “The Dawn,” features bespoke design elements and extensive customization options, ensuring each unit is unique. The vehicle blends extreme performance with craftsmanship-inspired detailing, targeting collectors and enthusiasts in the ultra-luxury segment.

U8L Four-Seater Adds Ultra-Luxury Comfort

YANGWANG also expanded its SUV lineup with the U8L Four-Seater Dingzang Edition. This version focuses on luxury and exclusivity, offering a four-seat configuration with premium materials, advanced technology, and a highly refined cabin experience.

The model continues to utilize BYD’s core innovations, including its quad-motor platform and advanced battery systems, while emphasizing comfort and personalization.

FANGCHENGBAO Introduces Formula S Lineup

FANGCHENGBAO is entering the sedan market with the Formula S series, a new range of personalized electric vehicles built around a “one car, multiple forms” concept.

The lineup includes multiple body styles, such as a traditional sedan and a shooting brake variant, all designed with a strong performance-oriented aesthetic. A production sports car, the FORMULA X, is also in development and expected to launch in the near future.

Updated Yuan PLUS Adds Smart Tech and Fast Charging

Rounding out the announcements is the third-generation Yuan PLUS (ATTO 3), one of BYD’s best-selling global models. The updated version introduces FLASH Charging, LiDAR-assisted driver assistance, and a redesigned interior with enhanced practicality and connectivity.

With over a million units sold worldwide, the Yuan PLUS continues to play a key role in BYD’s global expansion strategy.

Accelerating the Shift to Electric Mobility

BYD’s latest showcase underscores its commitment to pushing EV technology forward across all price points and segments. Innovations like ultra-fast charging and advanced battery systems aim to eliminate key barriers to EV adoption, while an increasingly diverse product lineup ensures broader appeal.

From family-friendly SUVs to record-breaking hypercars, BYD is making it clear that the future of mobility will be electric—and increasingly versatile.
