Rosa’s Thai is offering diners across the UK the chance to win a trip to Bangkok throughout April 2026, as the restaurant chain marks Songkran, the Thai New Year festival, with a prize draw, limited-edition dishes and free Pad Thai giveaways at selected locations.

Anyone who books and dines at any Rosa’s Thai restaurant between 1st and 30th April 2026 will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win return flights to Thailand and a five-night stay in Bangkok, timed to coincide with the Songkran festival. The competition, run in partnership with Singha Beer, requires no entry codes or forms – diners are entered simply by visiting a restaurant, with each additional visit counting as a separate entry.

Songkran is observed annually from 13th to 15th April and is widely recognised as one of Thailand’s most significant cultural celebrations. Traditionally marked by water fights symbolising the washing away of the previous year, it is also a time for family gatherings, communal meals and paying respect to elders.

To coincide with the occasion, Rosa’s Thai has introduced two limited-edition dishes available throughout April. The first, Larb Gai, is a minced chicken salad prepared with chilli, lime, fresh herbs and toasted rice, finished with crispy shallots. The dish carries longstanding associations with good luck and is a common feature of Thai festive occasions. The second dish, Pineapple Fried Rice, combines stir-fried jasmine rice with vegetables and sweet pineapple, seasoned with turmeric — a preparation said to symbolise prosperity and good health.

In addition to the prize draw, the restaurant will give away 100 free portions of Pad Thai per day across three locations during the Songkran dates themselves. The giveaway will take place at the Spitalfields branch in London on Monday 13th April, the Carnaby branch in London on Tuesday 14th April, and the Bristol restaurant on Wednesday 15th April. The offer is available on a first-come, first-served basis to walk-in customers only, with doors opening from noon. Bookings will not be accepted over the lunchtime period.

Rosa’s Thai was founded by Saiphin and Alex Moore, who opened their first restaurant on Hanbury Street near Spitalfields Market in east London in 2008, having previously operated a street food stall at Brick Lane’s Sunday market. The chain has since expanded to more than 40 locations across the UK, including restaurants in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Cardiff, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Bristol, among others.

The restaurant group continues to source ingredients directly from Thailand, including tamarind from Phetchabun province, coconut milk, jasmine rice and curry pastes produced to founder Saiphin Moore’s recipes at a family factory in Trang, southern Thailand.
