Leighton Asia has been awarded a contract by NTT Global Data Centers to deliver fit-out works at its Bangkok data centre campus in Thailand, further strengthening the contractor’s portfolio in the Asia Pacific digital infrastructure sector.

According to , the project involves fit-out and mechanical, electrical and plumbing installation for data halls, supporting infrastructure and associated systems, forming part of NTT’s continued investment in digital infrastructure across the Thai market.

The award adds to Leighton Asia’s growing presence in the data centre fit-out sector across the Asia Pacific region, where demand for mission-critical facilities continues to accelerate alongside rapid expansion in cloud computing, artificial intelligence and digital services infrastructure.

“The demand for digital infrastructure continues to grow globally, requiring experienced partners capable of delivering highly complex, mission-critical facilities,” said Juan Santamaría, CEO of ACS Group and HOCHTIEF and Executive Chairman of CIMIC Group. “This award reflects the confidence our clients place in the capabilities of our Group and strengthens our position in the data centre sector.”

Brad Davey, Managing Director of Leighton Asia, said the company was well positioned to support clients across the full lifecycle of critical digital infrastructure delivery. “We are pleased to be partnering with NTT Global Data Centers on this important project. As a vertically integrated contractor, Leighton Asia supports clients in delivering critical digital infrastructure through construction, installation and commissioning.”

NTT Global Data Centers operates a significant portfolio of data centre assets across Asia Pacific, and the Bangkok campus investment reflects the company’s strategy of expanding capacity in high-growth digital markets. Thailand has emerged as an increasingly active destination for hyperscale and colocation data centre investment, driven by its strategic position within Southeast Asia and growing domestic and regional demand for cloud services.

The Leighton Asia appointment positions the HOCHTIEF subsidiary to build further on its regional data centre credentials as major operators continue to commit capital to new and expanded facilities across the Asia Pacific corridor.
