Capella Bangkok has been name Best Global Hotel for Food & Drink in Food & Wine’s prestigious 2026 Global Tastemakers Awards, reinforcing its position as one of the world’s leading culinary destinations.

Now in its fourth year, the Global Tastemakers Awards celebrate the most exceptional food and drink experiences across restaurants, bars, hotels, airlines, and cruise lines, honouring those that combine a strong sense of place with outstanding gastronomic quality. At Capella Bangkok, a diverse and thoughtfully curated culinary portfolio brings together Thai heritage with contemporary flavours and techniques. Within the hotel’s riverfront estate, four distinct dining and drinking outlets come together in an immersive epicurean journey.

Côte by Mauro Colagreco, led by Executive Chef Davide Garavaglia, brings two-Michelin-starred refinement to Bangkok’s riverside. Inspired by the culinary traditions of the French and Italian Rivieras, the restaurant presents a contemporary interpretation of classic flavours, defined by elegant simplicity and vibrant, seasonal creations. Phra Nakhon showcases authentic regional Thai cuisine in a light-filled dining room just steps away from the Chao Phraya River.

The restaurant’s menu draws on time-honoured recipes, many created from ingredients grown in the hotel’s on-site Greenhouse, alongside the best locally sourced produce. At Stella, the hotel’s signature cocktail bar, bespoke drinks are crafted with artistry and flair. Inspired by the spirit of Bangkok’s storied neighbourhood, the menu reimagines local ingredients into modern cocktails that reflect the city’s dynamic energy and cultural richness. For a more relaxed experience, the Tea Lounge offers a tranquil setting overlooking a serene lily pond and vignettes of daily life along the river.

Rooted in Asian tea traditions, the all-day menu pairs premium teas with carefully crafted sweet and savoury selections, culminating in an elevated afternoon tea experience. “This recognition from Food & Wine’s 2026 Global Tastemakers Awards is a tremendous honour and a testament to our culinary team’s dedication to excellence,” said Antonio Saponara, General Manager of Capella Bangkok.

“Our goal has always been to offer guests an authentic yet elevated taste of Bangkok’s vibrant food scene, and this award affirms that.” The Food & Wine 2026 Global Tastemakers Awards honour the world’s most exceptional restaurants, bars, hotels, airlines, and cruise lines that have elevated the intersection of hospitality and gastronomy. Food & Wine polled over 400 chefs, travel experts, food and travel writers, and wine professionals globally, then turned the results over to their Global Advisory Board to rank the top nominees in each category.
